WinterStage

WinterStage features former Ringling Brothers clown Sean Patrick Fagan, instructing students in juggling, balance beam, clowning, costumes, magic, unicycling, gymnastics, acrobatics, and stilt walking.

Life can be a three-ring circus, juggling many changing demands. Each experience of exploration and achievement provides students a greater sense of self-confidence and insight. Skills learned through “Circus Theatricks” include control, instinct, rehearsal and repetition, courtesy, teamwork, understanding and safety.

SummerStage

SummerStage, is carefully designed to provide a combination of structured performing arts training, creative expression, fun, social interaction with other students, and the opportunity to perform. Individual and collaborative work by the young people under the guidance of experienced teachers culminates in an original presentation created and performed by the students. Acting classes are same-age, special topics are partially mixed-age, and performance projects are mixed-age. The SummerStage experience provides a training ground and showcase for young performers’ creative talents.

SummerStage will be held in the Schacht Fine Arts Center, Russell Sage College, Troy, NY.

Tuition: $550.; Application deadline: June 1, 2010.

July 19 - August 14, 2010 • Mon.-Fri., 9 AM - 5 PM, Ages Teen and College — Application Form

Summer Theatre Institute is a unique opportunity. College and high school participants take acting, singing, and dance classes, while also rehearsing a musical conducted with professional standards - this year, “Seussical the Musical.” The musical is performed for audiences during the concluding days of the program. The faculty of Summer Theatre Institute includes a professional director, choreographer, music director, and teachers. Call the director to learn about the program and to talk about how you or your child's interests and talents can contribute.

Summer Theatre Institute will be held in the Little Theatre, Russell Sage College, Troy, NY.

Tuition: $700.; Application deadline: June 1, 2010.
