Auditions
NYSTI conducts an annual EPA open call at the Actors Equity Association Audition Center at 165 West 46th Street, New York, NY. This audition is normally held in late spring or summer. Notice is published at AEA and in Back Stage. Equity actors are employed on a special TYA contract.
NYSTI also conducts an open call for actors in its region. This audition is normally held in June at its theatre on the Russell Sage College campus in Troy, NY.

Directors and Choreographers
In addition to its staff directors, NYSTI employs a few guest directors and choreographers. Nearly all persons who direct for NYSTI are members of SSDC. Directors and choreographers who wish to submit a resume should send it to:

Playwrights and Composers
NYSTI has produced more than thirty new plays and musicals.
NYSTI is unable to accept unsolicited manuscripts, but will be happy to review synopses, character lists, a few pages of sample dialogue, and in the case of musicals, cassette tapes or CDs of music.
Please be aware that NYSTI produces only full-length work appropriate for family audiences. Writers are advised to review the list of titles produced by NYSTI on this website.

Designers
Although NYSTI employs several scenic, costume and sound designers each season, most are designers with whom we have worked in the past. Nevertheless, we are always open to considering the work of new designers. Designers who are members of USA may submit a resume and supporting materials to:
