Beautiful music illuminates the spirit of giving in this joyful tale of community based on a true story of a tiny Alaskan village on King Island in the Bering Sea. It’s just before Christmas, 1951 and the villagers await the arrival of the ship carrying winter provisions. But the weather is getting worse, the ice is closing in, and the ship’s arrival is in peril. The islanders pool their strength and courage to conquer the mountain of trouble that stands in their way.
