Bus Information
Bus Driving Directions
Buses should follow directions using 3rd Street through Troy, even if you know a different route, to ensure a smooth traffic flow and unloading of buses.
From Albany and south
- Take I-787 North to EXIT 8 (23rd St./Watervliet/Green Island). Turn right towards Troy/Green Island.
- At first light, turn right. Cross bridge. Turn right at light onto River St. (Rt. 4). Get in middle lane.
- River St. loops around electronic sign; stay in middle lane.
- At light (corner of Fulton and 3rd) proceed straight on 3rd St.*
- Straight 5 Blocks on 3rd to Division St.; turn right onto Division.
- Straight 3 blocks on Division. Discharge students at iron gate on right.
From Cohoes and north
- Take I-787 South to EXIT 8 (23rd St./Watervliet/Green Island). Turn left toward Troy/Green Island.
- At second light, turn right. Cross bridge. Turn right at light onto River St. (Rt. 4). Get in middle lane.
- River St. loops around electronic sign; stay in middle lane.
- At light (corner of Fulton and 3rd ) proceed straight on 3rd St.*
- Straight 5 Blocks on 3rd to Division St.; turn right on Division.
- Straight 3 blocks on Division. Discharge students at iron gate on right.
From Schenectady and west
- Take Rt. 2 (Troy-Schenectady Road) east.
- Straight on Rt. 2 through Watervliet. At Second Ave.(Rt. 32), continue straight onto the Congress Street Bridge.
- Cross bridge, following tunnel to light. At light, turn right onto 3rd St. Straight one block, turn right onto Division St. Straight for 3 blocks, discharging students at iron gate on right.
From the east
- Take Rt. 7 (Hoosick Street) west.
- Straight on Rt. 7, down Hoosick St. between the bridge ramps. At bottom, turn left onto River St.
- River St. loops around the electronic sign; get into middle lane.
- At light (corner of Fulton and 3rd) proceed straight on 3rd St.*
- Straight 5 Blocks on 3rd to Division St.; turn right onto Division.
- Straight 3 blocks on Division. Discharge students at iron gate on right.
* Please use 3rd Street (not 1st Street) to ensure smooth traffic flow, and avoid blocking the main road through the college campus. Directions to bus parking will be distributed upon arrival.

Bus Parking
We realize some buses return to school or don't use NYSTI's provided parking. We have arranged space about two-tenths of a mile from the theatre for buses that require it.
Directions are given to your bus driver by a NYSTI Volunteer upon arrival. Reserve parking by indicating the number of buses on your contract.
Drivers are advised of time to return for pickup by a NYSTI Volunteer. Buses must not return before this time. Please remember your bus number for efficient boarding of buses after the show.
